It was sponsored by Rotary Club of Panvel.Following the footsteps and vision of Parent Rotary Club- “Committed to serve humanity” , hence Rotary Club of New Panvel sponsored the Rotary Club of Uran which was chartered on 16th Aug 1990 with Rtn Eknath A Chavan as GSR. Rotary Club of New Panvel was considered as a star performer of District 3131, covers the area of New Panvel in Navi Mumbai, encompassing both East & West New Panvel.
As a CSR Green Initiative, a major petrochemicals came forward and donated the Solar PV system of capacity 35kW To Rotary Club of New Panvel.
Rotary Club New Panvel, Blood bank Solar Rooftop Power Plant consists of 75 numbers of Mono-crystalline JINKO, Co-engineered by Tata Power Solar. Panels having wattage of 470Wp, having an estimated life of 20-25 years which is backed with warranty from Tata Power.
As an Eco-friendly initiative from Rotary, helping the society by,
- Saving the burning of 370 Metric Tons of coal annually
- Reduced Carbon Footprint of 748.0 Metric Tons on annual basis, which is equivalent to planting 12378 trees per year.
- Equivalent savings on Petrol Consumption 319032.02 litres.
As a channel partner of Tata Power Solar, M Power India Private Limited, was involved in the EPC and also contributed in the SITC of the system
